Electronic Shelf Labels (ESLs)

Soon most stores will have a blend of printed and electronic shelf labels (ESLs) at the shelf edge and it's vital for both forms of customer communication to work together from the outset. NetTickIT meets this need because it outputs information not just to printers but also to ESLs and other digital devices. In fact Pierhouse have been demonstrating for more than two years how easily NetTickIT connects to both ZBD and Pricer ESLs.

The red button demo

To illustrate the how well NetTickIT integrates with ESLs and other digital devices Pierhouse created the red button demo. It visually shows how easy it is for the marketing team at head office to make changes to offers and prices across the whole estate.  Prices change on the ESLs, new printed tickets come out of store printers and a lot more too. Retailers are welcome to visit us at Farnham and see the red button demo for themselves. (We also have great chocolate biscuits!)

What can ESLs be used for?

Some retailers justify ESLs by cutting the cost of printing labels and savings in staff time.  However, internal justifications are increasingly being based more on the potential to increase revenue and profitability rather than purely on cost savings. Examples include time of day offers where the offers change as different types of shoppers visit the store. Another example is dynamic pricing on certain products such as fruit based on stock levels or even weather conditions.

Pierhouse would be pleased to show you the red button demo and discuss how ESLs could be applied in your stores.
